Ersteinmal möchte ich euch allen ganz herzlich danken für all die super Kommentare und E-Mails. Ich freue mich zu sehen das so viele von euch gern an makinglatexclothing.com teilnehmen und dazu beitragen möchten. Die erste Woche war großartig!
Ich bin immer noch dabei mich durch die vielen E-Mails hindurch zu arbeiten und so vielen wie möglich zu antworten. Bitte seit etwas geduldig wenn ihr bis jetzt noch nichts von mir gehört haben solltet.
Heute habe ich mich zum ersten mal an einem aufblasbaren Latex Stück versucht. Ich dachte es könnte Spass machen sich mal an etwas neues zu versuchen und da heute Valentinestag ist habe ich mich dazu entschieden ein aufblasbares Vantines Herz zu kreieren.
Wie du auf meiner Valentines Karte sehen kannst habe ich das auch ganz gut hinbekommen. Es hat Spass gemacht und ich freue mich jetzt schon auf die kommenden aufblasbaren Projekte.

Lovely work on the inflatable valentine heart. What kind of inflation valve did you use, and any tips for how to do the final closing of the last seam? Inflatables are something that require a lot of trial and error to learn the ins and outs of…..you should do a tutorial on those techniques (attaching inflatable valves and closing seams on inflatables). Keep up the good work!

I’m interested in getting a latex bedsheet. What thickness of latex would you recommend? Would 0.33mm be suitable, or would something thicker like .4, .45 or .5 be a better idea?

Out of my own experience I would recommend for a bedsheet 0.5/0.6.

I just used a regular bicycle valve. I went to a bike shop and askes if they have some old/ punctured bicycle tubes, they would anyway throw them out. So you get them for free!
I cut them out, sand them down, washed them and used the mineral spirit to get rest off. Ready to glue in! But Blackstyle sells some nice ones which are ready to glue in! Tutorials about inflatable items will come in future, I want to experiment some more with it!
